The Senior Package is similar to the Junior/Senior package of somewhere between 10-20 hours, depending on where the student is in the process, what colleges you plan on applying to, if scholarship search and essay review are part of the package, etc.
With a senior, we typically focus on the following areas:
COLLEGE IDENTIFICATION & SELECTION –
- Providing assessments and templates for college research that help you identify colleges that represent the best fit for you.
- Tools to help hone the “long list” to a more manageable size
- Tips on how to make campus visits more meaningful
APPLICATION STRATEGY -
- Identifying appropriate target, reach and safety schools and preparing a final list of schools based on the criteria most important to you
- Identification of skills, talents and experiences that set you apart
- Streamlining the application process with essay brainstorming and essay review
- Strategic guidance through the Early Decision/ Early Action decision making process
- Mock interviews in preparation for on-campus and alumni interviews with actual questions asked at top-tier schools
- Preparation of a concise, clear resume to highlight your strengths and accomplishments
- Suggestions to identify the best people from whom to request letters of recommendation
- Monitoring of testing and application deadlines and providing a detailed work plan to ensure that all applications and supporting materials are completed well ahead of deadlines
- Guidance if deferred or waitlisted to maximize your chances of acceptance
- Assistance in choosing a school and preliminary major once acceptances are received
